Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and yummy food

New to this place and what a find. Great family friendly restaurant with fabulous decor making it feel a cut above the usual. Menu is broad enough for a range of tastes and quality was really good too. All this accompanied with excellent accommodating friendly service. Nice kids area too which just helps alleviate the table boredom younger kids experience. Books and cubby holes, again all smartly designed. Definitely returning

We chose the Hideaway to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. And it just happened to be Easter Sunday too. I'm so glad we did. There were 7 of us from 3 generations. Every one of our party said they had an amazing meal. Of course it was just a 'normal' Sunday roast but it was incredible - there was so much of it and each dish was so tasty (I particularly liked the way they had mixed the cabbage with garlic and also the carrots with herbs). Oh and there was plenty on offer for the vegan in our group too. Service was excellent as ever. Atmosphere was spot on and everyone commented what a lovely place to eat (we were inside but there are outside tables too). So - highly recommended - even for a special occasion.

Arranged a Sunday lunch for an extended family of 20 from Dorset, Wales and Bristol and were lucky to find this delightful place. The roasts and desserts were fabulous with generous portions, very tasty and excellent value for money. The drinks were a tad pricey compared to Dorset but possibly not for Bristol. The front of house team were superb; efficient and very welcoming. The children in our group loved the kid's corner and the general ambience of the place was just so friendly and perfect for our first family get together since the first lockdown. We had no problem parking on nearby roads. We will definitely return when we visit family in Bristol.
